Hi. I have a 84 300TD with 253K. Still strong but I think I need to have another one of those 15k services done to it. I have a few questions...

1. Which part of this service can I do myself.

2. The timing chain on this car is original. Techs I spoke to said they really never changed too many chains on this car. I have the chain checked everytime they do the valve adjustment. Any comments?

3.What are the best tire specs for this car. THe manual sez 195/70 R14. Others sez 205/70 R14. How does this ffect my mileage?Please advice.

4. My good mechanic is in San Diego ...about 90 miles from where I live right now...any suggestions on where to go in Orange County, Ca. (Huntington Beach)
