AC/blower motor will not shut off!

95 s500 sedan.I put the ac on this morning and now the ac/blower motor does not shut off when I press the off button or with the key out of the ignition!. It's stuck on high. Played with the other ac control buttons and it performs what its supposed to do but the auto, low and high switch does not slow or speed up the blower. The ac and windshield defogger works fine. I had to disconnet the blower regulator to stop it. Is there a relay between the switch and blower that might have stuck. Please advise on what may be the problem?

Sorry to piggy back this one, but I have a 96 S500. and after repalcing one of the T junction hoses close to the firewall for a radiator leak, my ac will no longer blow at all ( hot or cold). For first thought is blower motor switch or solenoid. But I can not seem to locate the solenoid. I am new to the forum but definetly not new to Pelican, and any assistance would be grateful.

There is no relay or solenoid. The blower motor is controlled by a solid state regulator on the motor frame. The power to the blower is constant with the regulator in the ground side,

Location of the blower motor regulator is on the blower motor itself under the dash on the passenger side...their are many posts on how to replace these...having just done it myself on my 97 E420...turned out perfectly.

Blower Motor

Had same issue when my CCU went bad. Might be the problem if not the regulator.
