My '84 190e has this annoying quirk. When the engine temp is under 60 degrees celsius
and when I romp on the gas I get a slight hesitation on acceleration. This is also accompanied by having to push down on the gas when starting when the engine is cold. The car has a new fuel pump and fuel relay. I have a hunch its the cold start valve...or I could be wrong? |

I would check the overvoltage relay. Has the car had a weak battery and been jump started lately?

My car has a similar problem. However, I'm not sure that the temperature has any affect on it. I did have the O2 sensor replaced recently for an unrelated problem (stalling) but it doesn't seem to have solved my stalling problem. It does however seem to have improved starting the car. I too had to press the pedal occasionally to start the car.
