Any hope for this fuel pump?

1. Got a fuel pump off my 87 190E, it’s drawing about 1.3 Amps and sometimes it needs a slight tap on the side with a wrench to get it going…

2. My questions are:
. a. Is there any hope for this baby, can I clean it out by running some kind of solvent through it?
. b. What would cause the low amps, is there something going on inside?
. c. Does Mercedes rebuild these? I remember when I replaced my starter it was a rebuilt, Mercedes don’t offer new ones.
