i tried lowering the rear of my 16v 190e(right about at the center of the driveaxsle attached to a link their is a round metal device, their are 3 10mm nuts that are attached to a thin threaded bolt-2 nuts are for "locking" and the one in the middle is for adjusting the level of the rear suspension) IS THIS CORRECT??? WHICH WAY (DOWN-OR-UP) LOWERS THE SUSPENSION OF MY CAR??? HOW LOW CAN THE REAR GO???

Be careful, the springs determine most of ride height and the leveling system is intended to assist the springs not work against them.

I WHEN "UP" ON THE ADJUSMENT (IN THE SAME PROCEDURE I DESCRIBE ABOVE) BUT THE HEIGHT DIDN'T CHANGE. [ I SHORTEN THE LENGTH BETWEEN THE 2-10MM NUTS THAT LOCK THE ADJUSTMENT IN PLACE QUITE A BIT ]--"WILL THIS AFFECT MY CAR? WHAT IS THE CORRECT LENGTH THAT THEY SHOULD BE APART?

I own a 560SEC with the same type, I assume, of rear suspension. It seemed to me that the rear ride height was too high. What I did was remove the adjustment level. Have someone rev the engine and move the adjusting level up and down. You should be able to see the suspension move up and down as well. I lowered the car until it was only resting on the springs and then reconnected the adjusting lever at the right lenght.
