Can someone tell me the procedure for adjusting the emergency brake on my 210 chassis E320??

The "parking" brakes have a self adjusting ratchet on the cable.

does a 1994 E420 have a self adjusting emergency brake? My 420 has too much emergency-brake-pedal travel. And even with it floored to the max, the car dosent feel locked-down. I just checked the pads/shoes, and they are virtually new.

any other ideas?
