190e 2.6: retorquing heads, benefits?

Is there any benefit to retorquing the head on a 190e (1991, 71K miles) which has only minor oil seepage but more important the beginnings of a coolant leak, both in the frontal area. I have not seen any discussion of this--do the MB "stretch" bolts always maintain their torque? The exact point of the coolant leak is very difficult to pinpoint but I don't think it is the water pump or a hose. The leak (at worst, a pint a week) seems to go away after the engine reaches operating temp and having the cap on the expansion tank loose helps a bit too (otherwise car runs fine and within acceptable temp range). Thank you.

They use stretch bolts that hold constant tention. If you apply any more turn to the bolt, it could easily break.
