Somebody mentioned before that mercedesshop.com will offer a keyless entry system for the older W124 (1988) when the partsshop is online?

I don't see it listed in the partsshop catalog? Please advise. Thanks.

To be honest. All of our efforts have been focused on getting PartsShop up and running.

All we have to do to begin selling the W124 keyless system is to finish the documentation. We still plan to offer the kit at $199 + shipping. It works great! We have installed several locally and it takes 1 to 2 hours to complete. Before we offer it over the web we have to be sure the instructions are clear.

Will this keyless entry have the option of open just the drivers door lock (for safety purposes) and all doors (if desired)with another press of a button?

No. It works exactly like your key does today. When you click unlock it will unlock all of the doors, the trunk and the fuel door. When you click lock it will lock all of the doors, the trunk, the fuel door and it will arm your factory alarm. All of the current features of your factory alarm will be enabled. Our experience has been that the range of the remote far exceeds most factory remotes and it's certainly better than the range of the remote on my E430.
