Do a search!

I have seen pictures of DIY work in the "190 evolution" site.
As far as the rear brake pads, did you use some kind of brake paste on them. Not all the aftermarket pads will make sounds. There are some good ones out there.

If you are confident you can change the front struts yourself as no special tools are required. Jack up the car and support it on the lower control arm. The struts can be removed with regular sockets and allen wrenches. A Haynes 190 Manual can be purchased at Pep Boys for $15 and the strut replacement is well documented.

As far as the brakes go. Buy new rotors if you have not already done so. Usually if you buy Pagid or Textar brake pads you will not get the squeal. If the squeal is coming from the back brakes the position of the piston in the caliper may need to be adjusted. The piston is machined slightly to tip the pad at and angle to reduce brake squeal. This adjustment is also noted in the Haynes 190 manual.
