acces. fan 86' 300E need help !!!!
OK the fan is't coming on and I know the fan works it's self because I've unplugged and plugged it directly to the batt. and it came on, no I heard it has a switch, and a relay that could be bad.
how can i test them so i don't buy both i think they are about 40-50 bucks each. any suddgestions? I'm at work for now and if you could maybe email me at cspawn1@txu.com thanks every one.... |

Which fan are you referring to? Aux Cooling Fan or Blower Fan? |

Do you know where the switch is located? You probably got the two pin switch. This one can be troubleshooted by shorten the switch.
Here's a post where a I did write how you troubleshoot the switch overheating troubleshooting 84 190E I know it's not the same engine as in your car but I can't believe the switches are different. Dunno for sure... |
hey thanks for the info ...wish I put this thread on about 2 weeks ago it's now at the shop for it but as a favor from the mechcanic, it should be free but if he charges me I'm going to do it my self.....
