Hardwire Radar Detector in 95 e320
 

I would like to hard wire my radar detector into my 95 e320. Are any of the wires in the dome light cluster in front of the sunroof switichable with the ignition?

I'm sure you will find switched 12V in the overhead console. My 95 C280 did when I hard wired my Valentine 1 and your car most likely is identical. All you will need is a voltmeter. I can't tell you which wire it is because the car has been replaced by a C320 which does not have a switched 12V source in the overhead. Control Area Network and all that.
