Winshield washer warning light
I've got a W126 ('86 560SEL). The washer reservoir ran dry, the warning light came on as it should have. I refilled the reservoir and the washer works fine, but the light will not go off. Any ideas?

Float switches can get sticky with age. Easiest solution is to disconnect it (at the top of the bottle) and resort to checking the level visually about once a month.
The float switch is, however, easy to replace I think they cost about £12 here in the UK. |
