w140 RH Mirror

RH Mirror will fold in and out however the up/down, in/out adjustment doesn't work. Any suggestions, is it a motor within the mirror. If motor, where can I get one and how do I remove the glass?:

The folding motor is separate from the adjusting motor. If I remember correctly the mirror trim is removed before the glass will come off. I'm surprised I can't remember because I must've replaced hundreds(literally)of folding motors in the early 90's as part of MB's VCP Campaign. I'll check the work instructions tomorrow at work and post a reply if no one else responds.

What the hell was I thinking??? I must need glasses! I was thinking of 140's when I read your post. SORRY. Offhand, I don't remember exactly how the mirror glass comes off your car. Try tipping the glass down at the top and see if there's a clip holding it on. If it's any consolation, I did check the work instructions first thing this morning, except for the wrong car!

Your problem could be as simple as a dirty switch. Try moving the switch repeatedly and watch the mirror to see if it moves at all.

if its a dirty switch, how do you clean it. Does it need to be replaced or just clean?
