1973 450 SEL Riding too low

Hi all,


My little restoration project continually challenges me. The previous owner says the suspension has been worked on but whenever I put grocercies in the trunk or someone sits in the back, the car bottoms out. It actually always bottoms out up my driveway. It doesn't seem right for this car to ride that low.

Ideas?

Replace the rear springs.

This generation of Benzes seems to have a history of springs that need to be replaced over time.
