Missing relay or fuse for 190e?
I was just looking over the engine of my 1986 190e 2.3, when I noticed that my fuse box seems to be missing a fuse...... well, it's a little bigger then a fuse. It looks like some kind of outlet for a relay of some sort. I will try to include a picture of the missing fuse eventually. I think it is the overvoltage protection relay, if my haynes auto repair manual is correct? Is this vital to the operation of may car? If it is, I am going to kill the guy I bought the car from.
Thanks in advance Peter V. |
Pete: Hard to tell without a picture. Your owners manual may show a diagram of what's what in the fusebox.
It's not the OVP though, that's behind the plastic panel behind the battery. Gilly |

Don't know if the picture came out, but here's the web address Thanks in advance for any input, Peter V. |
According to the wiring diagrams in my 201 disc, that one is "not used", so your fusebox is correct.
