Coming up short

Ok it's just a wiper blade, but I have checked several parts stores and can't find the proper wiper blade re-fill for my E320 1994.

The vehicle has the original blade on it and the re-fill on the car is 615mm long, about 24.25 inches. Everybody keeps trying to sell me a 603mm long re-fill or 23.75 inches. Tried Bosch and Anco.

I would order from Parts Shop, but I am afraid that I will get another 23.75 incher.

The blade is indeed original, it's MB and sez 124 on it. I hate to go to the dealer just for a re-fill.

Help!

John

If a dealer is close to you, this might be an item that you will want to source from them. Mine replaces the blade, charging me only for the blade, anytime I stop in. Easy, and at $9.00 for the refill, I don't see anyone saving me too much...

If yours is indeed the original blade, might want to order a new one from Fastlane. Not too expensive, and they DO need to be replaced in toto every few years. You will get a Bosch blade complete with "124" embossed on it.

Fastlane also sells inserts for about $5. You have to pull out the two stainless steel slats in the refill to get the old rubber out; make sure you hang onto them since replacement inserts don't come with them ...
