On my 89 300sel I noticed that the rubber on the front upper ball joint has just started to give away.
On inqiring with the delear they told me that the upper ball joint with upper arm need to be changed for a price of $220 canadian for each.
I was wondering if I can buy the boot (rubber sleeve) only and if it is available. The manuals for the car say that the rubber sleeve can be replaced. Is the delear giving the right info. Is this part available at the parts shop.

Out of curiosity: did the price the dealer quoted you include parts and labor?

I think you can only get it with the upper control arm.

We have the upper control arm...both MB original and aftermarket at a considerably lower price than you were quoted.

Submit a Parts Information Request and our parts guys will identify the correct part numbers and let you know what's in stock.
You should also mention that you really want to buy the rubber boot. Perhaps they can dig something up. I'm just the web guy...what do I know!
