Turbo, super charged, nitrous...shorter engine life?

We all know MB's are known for engine longevity (at least the older models) . How does the addition of turbo, supercharging, nitrous and others affect the engine life? I would guess, all these outside forces affect the engine in a negative way. And even MB's are not inmune to the effects of these harder working engines.
I read in another forum that a new C kompressor sedan 6 speed is coming to Canada and , who knows, it may come to the USA in the future. It would be sweet to own one. However, engine longevity is my concern. Opinions?
