i have a problem with the driverside doorlock. The door will not lock.I have just replaced the lock because it was broken inside, and the door will still not lock. The power locking system works and the knob moves up and down.i was wondering if you could help. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

1. you say the lock was replaced, does that mean the key lock on the outside door handle?
2. when the key is turned from the outside, does the lock knob go up and down also?? Or does the lock knob only work from the inside of the car?
3. if #1 is yes and #2 is no, than maybe when the new outer tumbler was installed, the pin did not go into the lock mechanism guide hole.
