C220 red and green lights flash simultaneously ???????

C220 red and green lights flash simultaneously ???????

when I lock or open my c220 1996 ,the red and green lights on my rear view mirror and on my door handle flashes for about a minute at the same time .
It use to flash red for close and green for open .
Can someone please tell me what to do or what is wrong ???
