1988 300E Front Centre Armrest

Hi,

The seam (the "round tubing" that goes around the armrest) on my 88 300E Front Centre Armrest has broken into several pieces (but it's still attached to the armrest). When I wear a short sleeve shirt, the broken seam cuts into my elbow, causing it to bleed!! Is there anyway that I can fix this other than replacing the entire armrest?

If I need to replace it, how much is it and does partsshop carry it? My interior color is Palomino.
