gas and temp gauge intermittent
 

Have a '94 C280 that the gas and temp gauges work intermittently. It's a mixed bag. Some days they both work, some days one and not the other, usually after a delay of 5 to 20 minutes, some days the temp gauge not at all. Don't know if it has a connection but the dash light on the left half of the speedometer was out and a sharp thump from my wife in that spot started it working. Not so lucky with the light behind the clock. I hear there have been wiring harness problems on these. Is it that or just a MB oddity I'm experiencing. How much to get to the dash lights? Lastly, if it's the harness, how much $$. (He asked with trepidation).
