w210 rear window regulator
 

My rear drivers side window stopped working and just slid down.

On opening the door panel, I find the 2 ends of the cable have come apart - beraking the plastic clip. Is the part that holds these two cable ends sold - whats the part no.?

The second problem is that when the regulator is operated it starts pulling in both ends of the cable!!! Obviously this will cause the plastic clip to break!! My guess is the cable has gotten wound on the regulator in a wrong manner . Any ideas how I could rectify this ?

Can the 'reel' part of the regulaor be opened ? If so,How ?

You need to replace the whole regulator.
