Rear Ended 1980 380SE refuses to start
Eversince my sister's 1980 380SE was rear ended on the passenger side last week, it refuses to start. Is there a reset switch somewhere in the rear that may be preventing the car from starting? I also heard that on certain models, the fuel pump is located in the rear. Perhaps that's damaged. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Most likely a problem with the fuel pump, it is in the rear. Sorry, but it's not near as simple as a reset switch.
Good luck, |

Check the owners manual, I'm not sure abount the model but most fuel injected cars have an inertia switch that shuts of the fuel pump circuit if the car has been hit hard , so the fuel will not continue to be pumped in a collision. My Ford Taurus had one in the trunk. Maybe call a Benz dealership.

Looks like I just inherited a 380SE with a German manual. Any suggestions on which repair manual to purchase?
