This is the most common A/C problem that Mercedes(single belt drive) has. Now how many hours have been spent trying to figure it out? Start first by making sure the drive belt is tight! The reason that this happens is that MB installed a relay to monitor belt slippage due to the A/C compressor seizure.

When the tensioner breaks it needs to be replaced and can't to my knowledge be repaired. I think we sell it in the partsshop if you need one.
Good luck with the repair. ------------------ Benzmac: ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |
