Temp calibration

Is there anyway to calibrate the temperature guage? I know for a fact that the guage reads high and was just wondering if there is anyway to bring it more in line with the actual temp?

Yes, by adding a resistor to the connection at the sending unit.
AT 80C the resistance should be 67ohm. Try adding 4-5 ohms (1/4 or1/2 watt resistor) at the sensor if the reading is off by 3-5C.
