Question Citric Acid Flush or the Degreaser, which 1st

I conducted a search and only came up with some info but not the answer I was looking for. I changed the head gasket and need to flush out the cooling system. I went to the local dealer and purchased the citric acid powder and a degreaser powder the tech said I should use as well. I have read about on this site as well as a degreaser type powder. Which one should I use first? Dealer guy said drain insert degreaser and water, run for 10 minutes and repeat with the same process with the citric acid. He said I might just have to do it twice with each.

The degreaser looked pretty toxic as the warning labels showed " drop of acid eating through a finger"

Thanks for the help.
