I am rebuilding an 83 240D 616.912 engine.I have the old Mercedes shop manual, and I am referring to page 03-010 which I have scanned and placed at www.jersey.net/~rtc/BENZ.HTML. The table on thta page refers to piston diameters for Version 1 of 90.98; 90.99; or 91.00 and for Version 2 of 90.88;90.89; or 90.90. However my Pistons are stamped 90.875 and also 1. Which set of measurements do I use? Was this engine possibly resleeved and repistoned?
