Does anybody know if this remote control will work on a 96 C280?

Found it on Yahoo auctions and says like this:

"Original 500SL 320SL 600SL or S class Mercedes Key with remote. I do not know the application or model to be used with"

"Part number on remote is “140 760 14 06”

I have a similar one on my car that a friend gave me and after installing the batteries starting to work. (???!!!???)

Please advice.

The key is for cars equipped with DAS (driver authorization system) and as such, it was ordered for a particular chassis and will only work with that particular vehicle. NO, it won't work on you car.
