My left headlamp wiper has been stuck halfway for a couple of months, then I noticed the other day that it was working again! Unfortunately, by the time I parked the car, it had stopped working.

Any idea what could cause this? Bad connection? Slipping gears?

That assy does fail often. I usually will replace it if it fails. I have had no luck in the internal repair of them.
