i forgot who wanted to know what was wrong but the mass air flow sensor was out of range. for some reason, after they replaced it, the cal does not seem the same. less perky and a bit slow on downshifts.

The reason for that is it was off in the rich direction. If the engine gets more fuel, to a point, it will get faster.
