Door panel removal and vacuum question-124
Thanks to a lot of help from this site I diagnosed a bad vacuum supply pump for the door locks in my 124. I have replaced the pump and it works great!!!
However, it continues to run when the doors are locked by either the key in the driver's door or by manually depressing the driver's door lock. This has lead me to believe that there is a leak in this door's actuator or vacuum plumbing. Please correct me if I am wrong in this assumption. I believe that this leak caused the vacuum pump to continue to run until the motor eventually fried. The problem is that I can not seem to get the driver's door panel off. I have the CDs and have followed them as close as possible. They have proven to be wrong in this situation. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge with the removal of this door panel?
