I'm planning to mechanically disable the 4matic system on my '87 300D Euro sedan by removing the front axles, and would want to know if anyone has successfully done this procedure before, and how it was done.
I stay in Manila, where there is no snow, and don't have any use for it. But the main reason I'd like to disable it is the erratic clunking sound it makes when I make a slow sharp turn. |
