86 300E Clutch bad..Remove eng?
 
or just pull out the tranny? Is the pilot bearing bronze or roller? Any good upgraded cluth options for the 86 300E 5 spd? Anyone done it before? War stories? Any info on success or failure would be great!!! Scott

300E Clutch
 
Just pull the transmission. Pilot is a ball bearing. Stock clutch is fine. Should take 3 hours if you have a lift to work under.

There is a detailed step-by-step in the W124 Haynes manual. I personally would not attempt it without a lift.

Sorry man. I dread that day.
I just bought the Haynes manual from a UK bookshop for around $30 net. I like it. The simplified wiring diagrams are particularly useful.
