Can anyone tell me the location of overvoltage relay for 1994 S320L ? is it the 'Black' rectangular box with 2 plugs and just right behind the fuse box ? I am going to replace it to see whether it can cure the funny stalling problem of my car.Any help is appreciated.

In a 1994 'S' class (W140), the old overprotection relay has evolved into the Base Module. That is the unit at the back of the module box that has the 3 or 4 fuses in the top of it. But I doubt that would help with your stalling problem, unless perhaps you have jump started the vehicle and a fuse or two is blown.

Items to check? Perhaps the basics: coils, fuel pressure, MAS, and a stuck open purge valve should not be overlooked.

On this engine, check the dist. caps and rotors. I have seen a million fail. They have really weird problems.

PS If you do it yourself, we sell 'em in the partsshop.

How can I tell that the distributer is faulty ?That funny stalling only happens IN GEAR ONLY.If I switch on the defroster,it will be gone.Since it happens occasionally, its too hard to show the computer-diagnosis-dependent technician.Any idea?? P.S.: I am going to fix it myself(my only choice),can you tell me the location of the dist.
