I am starting to look at SL's and have found a 84 380SL that is looking pretty good to me. I would appreciate opinions from people more knowledgible than me as to to which years and model's of SL's to consider from a quality and reliability standpoint.

This should let you know quite a bit about each throughout the years. I too have an '84 380SL Signal red roadster and enjoy the ride every day.
