My next MB

Good Morning,
Just to match my wife, I would like to get a 126. Hers is a 85 500sel and I would like to get the last of the 126 series in a 560 sel. Any thoughts on this subject- should I look for a newer series of the S.
Thanks

Get the newest model that you can find in excellent condition. Make sure you have documented service records. These cars last forever if they are properly serviced. Pay a few dollars more for a creampuff and you will not regret it. You not only will have a better looking and running car but you will save many dollars in the long run.

Freddie,

If you're in the US, that'll be a 91 560SEL. If you want a newer car, be ready to spend 2-3x the cost of a good 91 560SEL for a good and hopefully Starmarked 95-96 S500. Even better would be a 97-99 S500 at 3-5x the cost of a 91. The 97-99 gives you more safety features among other things. You can get a 92 500SEL for the price of a good 91 560SEL but think about what you'll be getting if you get what you pay for.
