e320 starting problem- fuel regulator?

I have a 94 e320 that will not start off and on. Only way to start is stepping on the gas pedal about half way while turning the ignition. I do have the new OVP (checked the part number), wiring harness. Can it be the fuel regulator?

Seems like your car has a vacuum leak which increases the amount of air in the air/fuel mixture or your car's fuel distibutor is adjusted to supply the lean fuel.
Last week I was having the same problem on my W124 230E. It turned out the the hose coming from the idle control valve was deattached.
Good luck.

I disagree. A vacum leak would cause your car to idle terribly bad. Vacum leaks are not really extra air in the system. Vacum leaks are better described as false air.

My guess is a fuel pressure regulator, fuel accumulator, or a fuel pump going out.
