Changing Air Mass Meter/Sensor

Hi,
I am wondering if you can post some instructions on how to change the Air Mass Meter/Sensor (I guess it's the same thing?) on a 1997 C230...

(I think it's part B3130-70629 Air Mass Meter )

Much appreciated!

It will take one tool - a screwdriver - and about 30 seconds.

It's in the middle of the black plastic, round air tube that connects to the air filter box.

This forum has saved me over a thousand dollars.

No, really, it will take you more time to locate the mass air meter than it will to replace it.

Once you locate its position in the black tube, use a screwdrive to loosen the clamp, pull apart the tube, take out the old one, insert the new one, push the hose back together, and tighten it up.

10 minutes at the most.

changing the spark plugs

Do you recommend I change the spark plugs at the same time ? If so, is it straightforward or does it require complex disassembley?

Thanks

I'd change the spark plugs at the required maintenance interval, which on a 1997 model would be every 30,000 miles.

Thanks. But before I buy plugs as a DIY, is it pretty easy/straightforward - the only plugs I've ever changed was on 96 BMW 325 several yrs ago, which was really straightforward... Just wondering if I'll have to become a contortionist to remove replace the plugs on a 97 c230...
