When reattaching the power steering pump on the 380SLC, this part fell off from the driver's side from within the engine bay:

Can anyone advise me where it fits? It looks like a hose retaining clamp, but for the life of me I cannot figure out where to attach it.

That strap retains the radiator, one on each side.

I should have known this, having taken the radiator out a few years ago to have it rodded out, but memory fades.

These metal topped radiators are the Bees' Knees - Merecedes should be roundly criticized for going to the plastic topped ones.

It's easy to miss, as so little of the bracket shows atop the rubber bumpers either side, but I managed to get the thing installed, albeit not without some choice Garage Language!
