Auxiliary Water pump Leaking Coolant
 

It is leaking badly all around (red arrows).
Does anyone know if I can open it by removing the screws (green arrows), and making a new gasket for it?
This little thing is over $130.00 USD new, and I can use the money for something else. I do not want to open it and realize that I need a new one.
Then I will be stuck without a car. Until I order it.

It is fixed. I removed the screws and redid the gasket. No problems for the last 2 and a half years.

This maynot be acceptable to ya....my 81 280 gas ,,,,i simple by passed the pump...could not notice even a small change in heating,,,just a thought jack
