A friend of mine is interested in buying a 2000 E430 with around 40,000 miles on it. I was interested if you guys had an opinon on the car - ( quality, reliability, overall). Also what things to look for? Does the car have any major problems? Thanks in advance for your help.

do a search for the chassis version....W210 i think

The 210 car is tried and true and the 430 is the 8 cylinder version of the excellent 3.2 V6. I expect this would be an excellent car.

Please have your friend get the VIN No. and have a Mercedes dealer search the history of the auto for any repairs and all maintenance. And at that time, I would also take the car to a Mercedes dealer for inspection, mechanical and if any body repairs.
