Instrument cluster has no illumination on right side after bulb replacement

I changed all of the bulbs in my instrument cluster and still have no illumination on the right side. Only one bulb is responsible for this. I don't understand. I turned it around as well to make sure there is contact.

I am not sure where but, I must have an electrical short somewhere in the car... There must be a bad relay somewhere here...

Can anyone lead me into the right direction please?

I fully expect that the socket is just being cantankerous. Sometimes it is difficult to get it to stay in place while you put everything back in place.

Since this started at the same time you took it apart, the odds of a problem elsewhere would be very low.

Good luck,

Sorry Larry,

I forgot to tell you that, the bulb was already burnt out. I am now suspecting a broken circuit inside the cluster. I am not sure but, I think it might be worth the risk to take the back housing off of the cluster around the rev counter gauge. I really don't know how to repair the circuit if it is indeed broken.

On top of that, I just put the speedometer cable back on and when I was driving the car around, I heard a hissing sound. I had forgotten to fasten on the vacuum line

Oh well, that goddamn thing can run a little rich until I come to a probable solution.

Please give any tips guys.

I don't know if this applies to your car but,

it should be a red fuse behind the cluster. Looks like a regular bulb but it is red. Check it and good luck!
