On my 1988 E260, recently I have noticed that when
the car has reached normal operating temp, the guage will start moving erraticly and slowly between the 80 and 120 mark. It stays at high temp for few seconds then jumps down qucikly. What might be causing these symptoms?
I already have checked for air in radiator.

Any help would be appreciated.
