New radiator defective?

I just purchased a new radiator. I am replacing my current one which leaks from the upper neck area. Upon inspecting the new dealer unit, I notice that inside both transmission fittings, there are fluffy white, loose powder-like deposits that resemble corrosion. This makes me nervous about severe damage to my transmission, to say the least.

My manual and all knowledge I have gained so far on automatic trannys indicates "even the slighest impurity may cause operational troubles".

Has anyone seen this substance in new radiator tranny lines?

Thanks in advance,

Blake
