headlight shorts
 

i have a 1980 280sl my headlights work on the passenger side but not on the driver side. there are two bulbs a smaller and larger one the small one lights but the larger does not. I have change bulbs add a new combination switch and fuses. tail lights on driver side do not work either no current reaching lights.

I have had similar problems on my 560sl with intermittant light problems. I was told by my local tech that I MAY need the "light relay module". I found a used one at www.pgaauto.com. Good luck.
