I have an oil leak at the lower right corner of the upper timing chain cover.
I have new gaskets for the valve cover, timing chain cover, and dist. seal. What type of sealant should be used on the sides of the timing chain cover? any tips on this repair before i get into it would appreciated. ------------------ Paul 1992 300TE 4MATIC |
Mercedes uses a factory sealant that is like the Permatex import grey. We use the factory stuff. If the front upper cover re-seal does not solve it, you have a faulty head gasket. (weak point at the front.)
