My starter recently quit. In an attempt to save cash i am going to do this myself. However, i do not have the correct size allen wrench to fit the 2 bracket bolts. Before i go to Sears to buy a half dozen wrenches - does anyone know the correct size. Also Haynes manual is not clear on exact removal - looks like i bring it out under the air filter housing is this corrrect? Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance

It will easily come out the bottom with the steering wheel turned the right way. The bolts are 10mm allen. They will be reallllly tight. I'd pay the $100 and have someone with a lift do it, but if not, just take your time and don't, what ever you do, don't strip or round the allen bolts.
