What is the normal operating temperature in a 1985 190E 2.3? Where should it be on gauge? It is really cold here in Calgary -20C and heater does not seem to be cooling adequately. I am also having a harder time than usual starting. Could this have something to do with putting in new Bosch plugs with a 1.0mm gap?

The temp should run 80-100 on the gauge. If not, replace the thermostat.
If the coil is weak, it could start a little more difficult with the wider gaps.
