W140 evaporator changed?

Done lots of searchig and can't seem to find the answer.

I am the second owner of a 1995 S320 (W140) with 160,000km. I would like to know if the po ever had the evaporator fixed. I am pretty sure that the wiring harness was - it looks solid and new, but I have no idea if the evap ever was changed.

Nothing in the records to indicate one way or another.

I've tried to contact MB Canada, and the dealer that serviced the car before I bought it. Both told me that any previous service records are confidential. It seems that they can't (or won't) run a vehicle service lookup like MBUSA will. My dealer says there is no database that they have access to that would give me any previous service info.
